Sound being used in our film
We've decided that we don't want any sound throughout the opening of our film, we only want music so that it sets the mood and atmosphere of the rest of the film. This is because we wanted out audience to focus on whats going on instead of having to listen to dialogue or sound effects.
The Title for our film
We have chosen that the title of our film will be called 'That Should Be Me'. We chose to use this name as we wanted the name to be about what Holly is thinking. We also chose this as it is not to long and its a title that would stick in your head and make you want to watch the film.
Opening music for Romcoms
Each Romcom has a certain piece of opening music, such as in A Cinderella Story it has a peaceful/floaty feel to it to show that it is a fairy tale. Most films use music that suites the opening section and to the audience it is aimed at. Such as for an older audience they would most probably have a soft and quite soundtrack so that it would appeal to the older audience. For a young audience they would have an upbeat and lively piece of music to draw in young people.
Music for our film
The music we decided to use was by a local band. We wanted to use a band as they are a modern band and there music is modern and that's what we wanted. We also wanted to use there song 'In Flames' as its a fast and upbeat song which suggests youth and that teenagers live an upbeat and energetic lifestyle, and this song did exactly that.

Our own distributor

We choose to make our own distributor as while editng we tought that we should have own and by having Halt Films it is short and catchy, so people will easily remember it.

Editing
So far our editing has been fine and me and Natasha have both been doing it together and shared it equally. we did however have a problem where our film wouldn't open and we couldn't edit for a couple of weeks until a technichen could sort it out for us. We are no able to open it and we have carried on editing and are hoping to finish in the next couple of days and meet the deadline that we have set our self.

Shots within our opening
We've tried to keep our opening simple but yet effective to the audience, so we have used different types of shots to do this. A list of our shots are as follows:-
- Long shot of scenery
-Panning shot of seafront and west hill cliff
-Overhead shot of west hill
-Close up from side of pier
-Mid shot from front of pier
-Tracking shot of girl running
-Mid shot of boy walking and girl sitting down
-Crane shot of girl on floor
-Close up of girls face
As you can see we have used different types of shots to set the atmosphere of the opening section and to what the characters are like. we hope that we have achieved this with the outcome that we get. I haven't listed all of our shots through out the film as we have some that a similar or the same and they give off the same effective as the rest.

Advertising for our film
To advertise our film we had to look into what Rom-com's and teenage films use to advertise there films.
The main way to advertise our film is to put our trailer on TV and in the cinemas on films which are related to ours.
We could also advertise it by putting posters on bus stops and billboards. Also we could put a ad in the papers and magazines
To advertise to teenagers we could put an advert on Facebook and twitter and other websites that are used by teenagers. The easiest one would be word of mouth as it is a quicker way of getting our film noticed, because being at a college all of our peers will be able to spread our film to other people in other colleges.
The main problem with most of these advertising is that it costs a lot of money which we don't have, so we would have to find a production company that will be able to have enough money to get our filmed noticed. This is something that would have to be disused with the team members

10 Things I Hate About You
In 10 things i hate about you we first see who the film was by. we then see the City being drawn out before we see the actual shot. Each title is hand drawn. The first title we see is the title of the film following by the actors and casting director. This shows that they don't have a lot of titles other than the actors. During the opening titles we see shots from all over the city leading to a school we is showing us the set of the film. Also it has lively and upbeat music which suggests its about teenagers, the music starts to fade out after the opening titles. The opening tiles is quite like what we want, as we want ours to be showing you scenery of the town leading to the main characters and introducing them to us. We also want to have a upbeat song as it shows how old our characters are and what there like. All in all this is more like our opening titles than the other film i have researched.
Explanation of actors
We chose the actors that we had because they were a good fit to the description of what we wanted. They both looked like a typical teenagers they live an ordinary life. we also chose these actors as they were will to do anything that we asked and they were reliable for our shooting schedule and we could depend on them to be on set when and where we needed them.
Released Date
We are hoping that our film will be released date for our film will be Thursday 15th March 2012.
Art Of The Title - Juno
Juno first starts off as real life then it changes into 'cartoon' for the title sequence and changes back to normal as soon as the titles have finished. Juno have a lot of titles and have 23 altogether. We would never have that many titles as we would have most of them in our credits as we want the more important titles in our opening. we also wouldn't have ours turn cartoon as we want ares as natural as possible. All in all i like the opening of Juno as it is different to other films and it still tells us the story of the main character but it isn't how we want ours.
Costume/Props/Set
Costume:- Robert: For Robert we wanted him to be simple and dresses as an ordinary teenage boy. Were having him wearing denim baggy jeans, with a plain coloured top and a grey jumper with a newish pair of trainers. We want him to wear this to show that he is an average teenage boy who just wears what any other teenage boy would wear.
Holly: For Holly we want her to be dressed as an ordernairy teenage girl. To do this we are having her wearing a pair of balck leggins, a white vest top with a stripped long sleved top, a parker coat and brown ankle boots.
Props: The props that we are using in the first two minutes are a pair of headphones for Robert and a bag and phone for Holly. were only having these props as we want to keep it simple and only use what teenagers use.
Set: We don't have a set as were shooting outside and using the natural surroundings, to give off the effect of natural lighting at atmosphere.

Casting
Robert:- For this character we wanted to have a boy aged 17-18 who's medium height and bulit and who has brown hair. We wanted this to give off the typical look of a teenager living in a small town. We wnated him to be medium height as we wanted him to be taller than Holly but not to tall that there was a massive hight difference.
Holly:- For Holly we also wanted her to be between the ages of 17-18 to give the same effect of an average teenage girl living in a small town. She will also be medium hight and build so shes not that much shorter than Robert. We want Holly to have long brown curly hair to make her look more natural and not fake, to make it be more realistic.

Preliminary Footage
We filmed our prelim in october in a small cafe in Hastings. We were only able to do the filming in the quiet parts of the day, that is why the lighting changes are so different.
We tried to use a vairety of shots so that we could experiment with what ones work well and which ones would look best, and to also help us with the opening of our film.
We had a few continuity mistakes during it, such as at one point im sitting in my chair and then in the next shot im not and then im back there again. Theres also another one when Tasha is serving Jono and Jonny and then she suddenly at the back of the cafe. Theses errors have helped us now as we will double check that there are no mistakes in our opening two mintues.
People in the prelim:- Natasha Kingscote, Rachel Howe, Jonny Cloke and Jonathan Sollo
